This Privacy Policy explains how Stockroom (“the app”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you play. By installing or using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at nguyenduyanhuit1989@gmail.com.
1. The short version
- No account and no sign-up. You never give us an email address, a phone number or your real name.
- The leaderboards show a display name you choose, a country flag and your star count — nothing else (section 4).
- Your progress stays on your device. Levels, coins, stars and boosters are stored locally; only the star totals you see on the leaderboards are sent to our server.
- You can erase everything from inside the app, including your leaderboard entries: Settings → Data → “Delete my data”.
- Advertising and crash reporting use third-party SDKs, described below.
2. What is stored on your device
Saved with your device’s standard app preferences, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Of this list, only your display name, country and star totals are ever sent anywhere — to the leaderboards (section 4).
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Campaign level, stars and coin balance | so you can continue where you stopped |
| Booster charges and how many you have bought | to grant what you paid for, and to price the next one |
| Sound, music, vibration and language settings | to remember your choices |
| Which tutorials you have already seen | so the game does not re-teach you |
| Daily-activity streak | to show the streak counter on the home screen |
| Your display name and country | to show you on the leaderboards (section 4) |
| Which purchases have been delivered, and whether No Ads is owned | so a purchase is granted exactly once and restored on a new install |
3. What third-party services receive
3.1 Google AdMob — advertising
The app shows advertising. To do that, Google’s advertising SDK may process your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), a coarse approximation of your location derived from your IP address, and technical details about your device. This is used to select and measure ads.
On iOS the app asks for your permission before any tracking, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland a consent form appears on first launch, provided through Google’s User Messaging Platform. Your choice is stored and respected, and you can change it later.
Ad content is capped at Google’s “G” (General audiences) rating, and the sensitive categories Google allows us to block — including alcohol, gambling, dating and references to sex — are blocked.
Google’s own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
3.2 Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
When the app crashes, a report is sent so the fault can be fixed. It contains the crash location in our code, the device model, the OS version, the app version, and which screen or game mode was active. It contains no personal identifiers.
3.3 Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage statistics
We record a small set of anonymous events — the app being opened, a level started, completed or failed, a booster used, an ad watched — to understand which parts of the game work. Events carry gameplay values only. They never carry a name, an email address or any free text you typed.
3.4 Firebase anonymous authentication
The app signs in anonymously so crash and analytics records can be grouped by installation. This identifier is generated by Google, is specific to your installation, and is not linked to any personal identity. Deleting the app or your data ends it.
3.5 In-app purchases
Coin packs, a booster pack, a Starter Pack and No Ads are sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card, your name or your account. We receive only a purchase confirmation for the item bought.
4. The leaderboards
The game has two global leaderboards: one for the stars you earn on the street, one for your best stars at the Order Desk. Before your first game the app asks you for a display name (any nickname — it is filled in for you, and offensive names are refused) and a country (suggested from your device’s region).
Each leaderboard entry holds exactly: that display name, that country code, your star total, how many levels or boards you have cleared, and the anonymous installation identifier from section 3.4 that keeps the entry yours. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is visible to other players of the game. No email, no real name, no device identifier and no location are stored with it.
You can change the name or country at any time in Settings → Display name, and remove your entries with “Delete my data” (section 6). Comparing star totals is the only thing the leaderboards do: there is no chat, no messaging, no friends list and no live play between players.
5. What we do NOT do
- No account, no sign-up, no password, no social login.
- No chat, messaging, friends list or live play between players.
- No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
- No selling or renting of data to anyone.
- No collection of anything from a child that we could identify as such.
6. Deleting your data
Open Settings → Data → “Delete my data” and confirm. This deletes your leaderboard entries from our server and clears your progress, coins, stars, boosters, display name and settings from the device, in one step, and it cannot be undone. If the device is offline the local data is still cleared, the app tells you the leaderboard entries could not be removed yet, and you can repeat it once online. Purchases are not refunded or removed: No Ads stays yours.
Uninstalling the app also removes everything stored on the device.
To have crash and analytics records for your installation deleted, email nguyenduyanhuit1989@gmail.com and we will action it within 30 days. You can reset the identifier those records are grouped by at any time from your device settings: iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android — Settings → Google → Ads.
7. Children
Stockroom is rated for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Where data is processed
Google processes advertising, crash, analytics and leaderboard data on its own infrastructure, which may be outside your country. Google acts as our processor under its own terms and applies the standard contractual clauses where required.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account, the practical routes are Settings → Display name (to correct your leaderboard entry), the in-app deletion above, and the email address below. Write to us and we will help.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the “Last updated” date above, and for a material change we will say so in the app’s release notes.
