This Privacy Policy explains how Dragonball Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile game Merge 2048 (the “Game”) on iOS and Android. By installing or using the Game, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal identity information to play. The Game and the third-party services it uses may process the following:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device & technical data | Device model, operating-system version, language, app version, anonymous app-instance identifier, crash logs and diagnostics | Run the Game, fix crashes, improve stability |
| Advertising identifiers | Google Advertising ID (AAID) / Apple IDFA (only if you allow tracking) | Show ads and, where permitted, personalized ads |
| Gameplay & usage data | Scores, levels reached, sessions, in-game events, feature usage | Analytics, balancing and improving the Game |
| Purchase status | Whether an in-app purchase (e.g. “Remove Ads”) was completed | Unlock and restore your purchases |
| Optional profile (online features) | A display name and country you choose for online leaderboards | Show your entry on public leaderboards |
We never collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or government IDs. Payment card details are handled entirely by Apple and Google — we never see or store them.
2. Data Stored On Your Device
Your game progress, settings, coins, statistics and your chosen display name are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the Game removes this local data. If you use online leaderboards, your chosen display name and country are also sent to our backend so your entry can be shown.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — in-app advertising. Google Ads policy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, anonymous Authentication and — for online leaderboards — Cloud Firestore). Firebase privacy
- Google Play Services / Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchases.
These providers process data on our behalf and may transfer it to servers located in other countries.
4. Advertising & Your Choices
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob. Ad content is capped at a General audiences (G) rating.
- iOS: On first launch we show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized using your device identifier.
- European Economic Area / UK: We display a Google-certified consent (UMP) form so you can accept or refuse personalized ads.
- You can reset or limit your advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
5. Children’s Privacy
Merge 2048 is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain and improve the Game.
- To display ads and process in-app purchases.
- To diagnose crashes and technical problems.
- To understand aggregate gameplay trends and balance difficulty.
- To show online leaderboards, if you choose to participate.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the Game. Analytics and crash data are retained by our providers for limited periods in line with their policies. To request deletion of any leaderboard entry or other data we hold, email us at the address below and we will action your request within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
